Our Life in Alaska and Beyond

Scott decided to bring the girls into Anchorage to pick me up at the airport, and then we all went to the Alaska Zoo together! It was a pretty nice day (for springtime in Alaska) and the girls were all feeling pretty much better by then. It was so good to be all together again and so fun to see all the animals. We love the Alaska Zoo! On our way home we got Moose's Tooth pizza for dinner. It was a very fun few days for me!

We're trying to fit as much fun as we can into this summer before baby comes, although we cannot wait for her to get here! Last Wednesday we went to the Alaska Zoo. It was a nice hot day and we loved seeing all the animals. So much fun! Going to the zoo always reminds us of when we moved here because we went to the zoo about a week after moving here (Oct. 2012). Can't believe we've been here for almost five years! It's been a great adventure!

Grandma and Grandpa Burton came to visit us for a few days and we had so much fun! They were only here a short time, and unfortunately it was raining pretty much the entire time they were here. It was so nice to have them here though! We love when family stays with us! They helped out a ton watching the girls while Scott and I each worked, and then the last day they were here we went to the Alaska Zoo! We love the Alaska Zoo! There are so many cool animals, and it feels so natural walking through the gravel path, and it's not too big. It's just perfect! Ruby especially loved it this time! We got rained on a little bit, but it didn't bother us at all. Enjoy these fun pics! (I didn't dare use my big camera in the rain, but cell pics are great, too!) And we can't wait until we see Grandma and Grandpa again. :)

Grandma and Grandpa Burton got to come visit us for a week, along with cousin Avalon! We had so much fun and did so many fun things. They also helped out so much with things around the house. Thanks Mom and Dad! Love you! Avi and Ruby got along great and were the cutest little cousin friends. :) Some of the highlights from their visit included celebrating Ruby's 3rd(!!!) birthday and blessing Noelle. We had a great week and took a lot of pictures so many blog posts will follow. :)

Ruby loved holding and looking at the map guide the whole time we were there, haha. We asked if she wanted to get out of her stroller to look at the animals, and she said, "No, I just want to read my book." :)

Ruby's favorite animal (at least to say) was the "Yak!" She would laugh after saying it. :)
