Father's Day, 6/16/24

Tuesday, June 24, 2025

We spent Father's Day out enjoying the most beautiful Alaskan summer day! We first went to Reflections Lake, and then we went to Eagle River Nature Center, and then that evening we went to the littles' school and played at the playground. We definitely made the most of this midnight sun. We had such a fun day celebrating Scott and all he does for our little family. We love you so much!

These first few pics are all from Reflections Lake

Davis Creek Trail, 6/19/22

Thursday, February 16, 2023

The past few years we've done a hike on Father's Day, and this year we decided to do a quick little hike up Davis Creek trail, to the waterfall bench. We really are so lucky to have so many beautiful trails so close to us! Davis Creek trail is definitely one of our favorites! The girls did great, and we enjoyed the sunshine!

Look close to see the waterfall! View from the bench.

Lake Blanche, 6/20/21

Tuesday, November 2, 2021
Early morning (before it got too hot or too crowded) on Father's Day we went hiking with Chrissy up Big Cottonwood Canyon to Lake Blanche. It was so pretty! Chrissy has done this hike several times before, but it was Scott and mine's first time hiking it. It was about 7 miles round trip and pretty steep, but so worth it! Scott had Robyn in the hiking pack for most of the time, but she also walked for part of it and I carried her a little ways too. She was our best little hiking buddy! (Ruby and Noelle were still with Grandma and Grandpa in California.) Later that day we went to Mike and Kay's for a little family party to celebrate all of our great dads and have some yummy desserts. It was a fun day!

These beautiful blooming yellow flowers and that morning light 😍

Slaughter Gulch, 6/21/20

Thursday, July 23, 2020
Father's Day looked a little different this year. We decided to celebrate by taking a trip to Seward for a couple nights. (Also for Ruby's birthday too.) We left on Sunday (Father's Day) and before going into Seward we took a little detour over to Cooper Landing to try out a beautiful hike I had heard about. It was pretty steep, but the girls did great! We only went up about a mile (about all the girls could handle) but it was still so pretty! I think we gained about 1400 feet in that mile and the views definitely paid off. Enjoy these beautiful pics!

Ruby took this pic! She did a great job!

Father's Day, 6/16/19

Wednesday, July 3, 2019
Another reason I got so behind on this blog is that Scott and I were asked to speak in church on Father's Day. For a good week or two pretty much all our spare time went towards preparing for our talks, haha. But they went well and now we're glad they're over, haha.

We took these pictures before church and they turned out so cute! I love Scott and our girls so much! Scott is the best daddy and best husband, and I feel so lucky that he's mine! Grandma and Grandpa B. left just the day before Father's Day (they also took a quick trip to Ketchikan to see Andy and Ali and their new baby Clyde! and then back here again), so they didn't get to hear us speak, but we did have a nice Father's Day dinner with burgers on the grill a few days before. I'm so grateful for my dad and for Scott who are both always there to take care of us and watch over us. I love you so much and Happy Father's Day!

Father's Day, 6/17/18

Friday, June 22, 2018
Last Sunday was Father's Day. After church we snapped a few quick pics and they turned out so cute! I love our family so much, and especially Scott! He's the best husband ever, and the best daddy to our sweet girls! I don't know how I got so lucky. <3 <3 <3 We also got to FaceTime our families and we enjoyed wishing our dads a Happy Father's Day too. We have the best families and we're so excited for them to come up this summer! :)

One of my favorite pics ever! <3

Holding all his girls :)

Father's Day, 6/18/17

Monday, June 19, 2017
Yesterday we got to celebrate all the wonderful dads in our lives. We love Scott so much and are so grateful for all he does for our little family. He's the best husband and the best father to our sweet girls. <3

It was a beautiful Alaskan summer day. After church we had a delicious BBQ of steak and shrimp, and then we facetimed family. It was a great day!

Father's Day, 6/19/16

Wednesday, June 29, 2016
We had a rainy Father's Day, but that didn't stop us from celebrating Scott (or taking pics) and the amazing job he does at being a father. He's the best! I'm so grateful for all he does for our family and how he's always happy to be with his girls! We love you Scott! We got him some of his favorite candy and a weed eater (still coming, sorry honey!) had a BBQ, and Ruby and Noelle made him some cute cards. <3
