My friend, Nadia, invited me to hike Lazy Mountain with her on Saturday evening. (This ended up being a huge Saturday, but when you have long sunny, summer days like this, you make the most of it!) It was such a beautiful evening and I'm glad we were able to hike together! Enjoy these pretty pics!

Right on Scott's birthday (we celebrated with his party a few days before) Scott took the day off and he and I hiked/ran Lazy Mountain. The kids were still in school and it was a beautiful day to get out and enjoy nature! We ran into a little bit of snow towards the top, but we were able to trek through and we made it all the way to the flag. We also saw a moose and a porcupine just off the trail, which was so fun! Enjoy these pics!

We were able spend Mother's Day at the Musk Ox Farm in Palmer. They had a few baby musk ox that were just born a few weeks prior and they were so cute! The girls and Scott also treated me so well, and I had a wonderful day! I absolutely love being Mom to our three sweet girls! 💗💗💗

My friends, Tabitha and Hannah, invited me to hike Lazy Mountain with them. This was my first time hiking it, and of course, the night before we had a pretty big snowstorm, lol! (So much snow this winter/spring!) But I'm so glad we still went despite the snowy conditions. It's not a super long hike (a little over 4 miles RT), but it is quite steep (about 3k' elevation gain)! It ended up being a beautiful day, and it was actually quite fun in all the snow. Enjoy these pretty pics! ❄️🗻

We were able to spend Thanksgiving with the Burton side at Park City, and it was so fun! The kids loved being with their cousins, lots of swimming and games, and of course lots of yummy food! So much to be grateful for! Happy Thanksgiving!

Quad stack! 11/24/23

Scott was able to come to Utah for Thanksgiving, and with my birthday being so close, he was able to come for that, too! Yay! Andy and Ali were also visiting at this time for Thanksgiving, and for mine and Chrissy's birthday (Jake couldn't make it) we all went to Fat Fish for sushi! It was so good! We got so many rolls, and looking at these pics it's almost comical, but we ate them all! Yum! Happy 37th!

I loved living in Farmington and being so close to the Flag Rock trail! From my work I noticed the leaves were really starting to pop on the north side, and I couldn't wait to get out there and run it. Enjoy these pretty pics! 🍁🍂

I love Utah in September! It's still really warm, but just starting to cool down a bit. (October in UT is so nice too.) While Scott was gone I was working 2-3x/week, but with the kids back in school, I was able to go on lots of runs and hikes. Enjoy these pretty pics I took while out enjoying nature! 🍃🌻🍁

9/14/23 Davis Creek Trail. Look close to see the waterfall

Chrissy invited me to go with her on a little overnight backpacking trip, and of course I had to go! It was my first time backpacking, and it was so fun! We hiked just over four miles each way, and Chrissy supplied most the gear. We started at the Crystal Lake trailhead, and we actually read the map wrong and ended up going to a different lake than we had originally planned, but it all worked out, haha! We camped at Island Lake, and it was so beautiful! There are quite a few trees in the Uintas that have died from spruce beetles, but I think it's starting to recover, and it really is still so pretty. I loved backpacking, and can't wait to go again!

My friend Claire asked me to hike Ben Lomond with her, and of course I wanted to! This is a huge hike, (the longest I've ever done, nearly 16 miles!), but so beautiful too! We started super early in the morning, and it took us a little over 6 hours. It was a a big one, but so fun, and I'd love to hike it again! Claire is one of my friends from hygiene school, and I love that we've been able to stay in contact! So fun to spend some time together! 👯‍♀️🥾⛰️

Scott and I both had Pioneer Day off so we decided to do a little trail run up Adams Canyon. We started in Kaysville and took BST to Adams Canyon. It was a beautiful morning!

My favorite race day of the year! I love this race, and Farmington, haha! This race is so fun, and the breakfast afterwards is so good! Scott and I ran the 10k; and Chrissy, Ruby, and Grandpa B. (pushing Robyn in the stroller) ran the 5k! Everyone ran great! See results here. 

After the race we met the rest of the family and had a delicious breakfast in the park! Then we walked over to the parade. That afternoon just our little family met up with Ryan and Jill and cooled down at Causey Reservoir. (Post coming soon!) That night we met back up with my family and went down the park and watched the fireworks. So fun! Yay for long summer days! 🏃🏼‍♀️🏃🏻‍♂️🎆

One of our favorite trails near us in Farmington is Flag Rock. Early Saturday morning Scott and I ran it and had a great time. Enjoy these pics!

BST/Davis Creek Trail 5/25/23

I had a wonderful Mother's Day spent with family. I'm so grateful that I get to be mom to three amazing daughters, and that I have a wonderful mother who I look up to. We spent the day before Mother's Day with Scott's family, and then Sunday I had a nice relaxing morning at home, and then we went to my parents. So grateful for Moms!

I've probably written this in the blog before, but Chrissy and I (twins, haha) share our birthday with our older brother Jake! Kind of crazy that three of us five kids have the same b-day! Growing up Nov. 21 was a big day in the Burton household, lol! 

To celebrate, this year my parents invited everyone over (a day early), and we had cake and ice cream cake. I made a chocolate orange cake (this one), and Jake's fam brought the ice cream cake. Both were delicious! It's always so fun getting together with family!
