Bear World, 7/26/22
Before driving the rest of the way home we decided to stop at Yellowstone Bear World. I thought it would be fun to see the bears and other wildlife, and it was very exciting to see so many black bears as we drove through the park, but we definitely won't be going back. You could tell their whole business is all about making money. There were no efforts of conservation, or even education, besides one informational sign about bears. They had several baby black bear cubs that were so cute to watch because they were so playful, but they weren't rescues. These little bears were taken from their moms for the sole purpose of making money by letting tourists bottle feed them. Also while driving through, it looked like the bear food was just some sort of grain/pet food type stuff. It didn't seem very nutritional. I love going to zoos and learning more about animals and how we can help them in the wild, but this place was completely different. I just left feeling bad for those poor bears. Regardless, enjoy these bear pics.
They also had a small petting zoo, which was fun. And then they had a few little rides too, which the girls loved. After spending our morning here we continued our drive back home. Even though this maybe wasn't the best ending to our trip, the rest of the trip was great, and we definitely want to make it back to Glacier again!
