Christmas Eve, 12/24/23
Christmas was a little crazy this year having just moved thousands of miles, but it was so special to all be together. We loved being with just our little family in our new home. I got some cute pics of the girls in their new pjs (brought by Ronnie, our elf on the shelf), and earlier that day we had our friends, the Woods, over for dinner. In the morning we also had a delicious pancake breakfast decorated in fun shapes. Merry Christmas Eve! 🎄❄️🎅🏻
Studio 1 Nutcracker Professional Pictures, 12/4, 12/7/23
The girls had their photos taken by a couple different professionals for the Nutcracker and I wanted to share on here. These first few were taken at the studio a few days after the performance, and a few days before we moved. I absolutely love how they turned out! 🐭🗡️

Studio 1 Nutcracker, 12/4/23
Christmas Eve, 12/24/22
After spending the evening at my parents' we came home and got ready for Santa to come. The girls got new pajamas from Ronny (our elf on the shelf) that they wore to bed, and Aunt Chrissy also spent the night/next day with us! It was so fun! The girls all slept in the same room, and were so excited the next morning. They were up at 6:30 am, ready to go! It was a fun day spent opening presents and being together as a family. This year Christmas was on a Sunday so after all the morning activities we walked to church in the afternoon. The next day we left for Cali! Lots more posts coming soon! Merry Christmas! 🎄✨🎅
Studio 1 Nutcracker, 12/5/22
Noelle took ballet again at Studio 1 all throughout the year, and she got to perform in The Nutcracker at Christmastime. The performance is an all children's cast, and they do such a good job! This year Noelle had the part of a doll. Her whole class was the doll(s) that Drosselmeyer brings to life, much to the delight of the children. Noelle did an amazing job, and I loved watching her dance. 🩰
Studio 1 Nutcracker, 12/13/21
Noelle has been taking ballet this year at Studio 1 right here in Farmington. She has loved it and it's so conveniently located to us! Her studio performed The Nutcracker in December and they did so good! Noelle got to be a mouse, and it was so cute! She did amazing! She knew the dance really well, and really played the part, especially while getting dragged off stage by a soldier, haha! They performed up at Weber State, and I was super impressed with the whole performance! I hope she wants to keep doing ballet so she can be in it again next year. Great job Noelle!
| I took these pics a few days after the actual performance, just before having professional photos taken at the studio. |
The Nutcracker, 11/30/19
The performance was amazing, and it was fun to see the choreography was still the same as when I was a soldier in the children's cast years ago. (The costumes have changed slightly though, haha.) Having a piece of SLC come to Alaska made me feel a little closer to home this holiday season. 🎄💝

Ruby's Christmas Concert, 12/5/17
Also, on Wednesday, Ruby's class got to go on a field trip to The Alaskan Nutcracker! (The last two pics.) I was lucky enough to be a chaperone and go with them while Scott stayed home with Noelle and Robyn. The Nutcracker was very cute with Alaskan themes throughout the show, and I'm so glad I got to see it. I think I enjoyed it more than most the kids, Ruby included, haha. But we all had fun! :)
