Hogle Zoo, 11/22/23
We spent Thanksgiving at Park City, and on our way up we stopped at Hogle Zoo. It was a beautiful fall day, and I actually didn't take a ton of pics (usually I take a ton of animal pics, lol!), but I still wanted to share on here. Enjoy! 🦍🦁🦒
Portland, 11/13-16/23
Scott had a work conference in Portland, and I was able to join him! After being apart for so long, it was so good to be together! We loved being with each other! During the day, while Scott was at his conference, I got out and explored all over Portland using the TriMet, we'd usually meet up for lunch, and then we'd do something fun in the evening too. Such a fun trip together! While visiting Portland we couldn't help but notice so many unhoused people, which was so sad, and I know there aren't any easy solutions, but we still had a great time in a beautiful city!
| These first few photos were taken at the Lan Su Chinese Garden. It was so beautiful! There was a chrysanthemum festival going on, and I loved all the flowers! 11/14/23 |
WSU Football Game, 11/11/23
I really wanted to attend a WSU football game one last time before moving so we fit this one in! Chrissy wanted to come too, and we asked my dad and Scott's dad too! The littles didn't want to come, but Ruby did, and we had a great time. It was a beautiful afternoon. I love the WSU campus! 💜😸

BYU Museum of Art, 11/8/23
While I was living with my parents one day we decided to go to the BYU Museum of Art and the Roots of Knowledge display at UVU. The girls were at school, but we had a great time. We also met Avalon for lunch. (She's studying at UVU.) I loved the artwork at the MOA, and the stained glass at UVU was amazing! So fun!

Halloween, 10/31/23
Burton Family Halloween Party, 10/30/23
This is the Place Heritage Park, 10/23/23
Grandma and Grandpa B. took the girls and their cousins (Jake's kids) to This is the Place Heritage Park. (The girls got to go a lot, haha!) The Little Haunts special activities weren't going on, but they still had a great time. I was working this day, but I love all the pics they sent! Enjoy!
Little Haunts, 10/20/23
My parents took the girls to Little Haunts at This is the Place Heritage Park, and it was so fun! I got to go with, and Grandma Kay also came with too! They had special activities for Halloween and the girls wore their costumes. So much fun! 🐴🎃
Cross E Ranch, 10/19/23
Grandma Kay wanted to take the girls and their cousins (Taylor and Eloise) to the fall festival at Cross E Ranch. I wasn't working this day so I got to go too! It was actually quite hot this day, but we still had so much fun! Enjoy these pics! 🎃
Ken's Pumpkin Patch, 10/16/23
Our neighbor down the street in Farmington always displays his amazing carved pumpkins every year, and it's always so cool to check out. The girls and I went with Grandma and Grandpa B. one evening. So fun! 🎃
Indian Trail, 10/14/23
Chrissy and I tried to get all the fall hiking in, lol! Our next hike we did was in Ogden. We originally did this hike in our Hiking 101 class at WSU, and it's one of our favorites! It's especially pretty in the fall. You usually do it as a one way hike, leaving a car at the finish, and one at the trailhead. We started up Ogden Canyon, at the Coldwater Canyon trailhead, and then finished at the 22nd Street trailhead. It's a little over 4 miles and about 1400 elevation gain. So pretty! 🍁😍🍂
Red Pine Lake, 10/11/23
Chrissy invited me to go hiking with her to Red Pine Lake. It is one of her favorites, and this was my first time hiking it. It was so beautiful! It's kind of a longer one (nearly 8 miles and 2k feet elevation), and it was a little rainy/snowy, and we had some cloud coverage blocking part of the views, but it was still so pretty, and I'm glad we were able to hike it! Thanks Chrissy! 🍁❄️
Flag Rock, 10/10/23
I loved living in Farmington and being so close to the Flag Rock trail! From my work I noticed the leaves were really starting to pop on the north side, and I couldn't wait to get out there and run it. Enjoy these pretty pics! 🍁🍂
Scary Hill, Oct. '23
We got season passes to Cherry Hill (thanks Grandma and Grandpa B. for the best x-mas present ever!), and I love how the passes included Scary Hill! We went several times, sometimes I just took the girls, and Grandma and Grandpa B. came with us a few times too! So much fun! 🍒⛳️🧗🏻♀️🎃💀🕷️

Oct. '23 Trail Runs
Canyonlands National Park, 10/1/23
Arches National Park, 9/30/23
I really wanted the girls to see Delicate Arch before moving, so Chrissy and I planned a weekend camping trip to Arches and Canyonlands NPs. We spent the first day (Saturday) at Arches, camped in Moab that night, and then spent the next day at Canyonlands. We had beautiful weather and a great time! The girls loved tent camping, and they were pretty good little hikers, too. I think they really enjoyed recognizing the iconic Delicate Arch and seeing it in person. Also, Noelle and Robyn said their favorite part of the trip was having cup noodles for dinner. 😂 It was a fun trip and I'm so glad we could go with Aunt Chrissy! Enjoy these pics from Arches NP! 🧡

Scott in AK, Sept. '23
When Scott first moved to AK we had purchased a home, but we wouldn't close on it for a month or so. Luckily, Scott had some amazing friends and co-workers that stepped in and helped out. He stayed with his good friend, Katie, while working in Anchorage, and then later he rented a room from his friend, Kate. He was also able to meet up with some other friends for dinners and hikes. We missed each other so much, but I was glad that Scott was able to be with friends and enjoy the beautiful fall in AK. 🍁🍂
| 9/22/23 Scott's co-worker, Jeff, refs high school football games and Scott was able to help with the chains at this game! |
