The Nutcracker, 11/30/19
Wednesday, December 4, 2019
Just before we left for Utah (a few weeks ago) I found out that Ballet West was coming to Anchorage to perform the Nutcracker! I was so excited I told my Mom all about it and she decided to get me tickets for my birthday! It was the best! Ballet West was only here in Alaska for one weekend so the day we went was actually the day after getting back from Utah, but I'm still so glad we were able to go. We had our good friend Katie watch the girls and Scott and I enjoyed the best date!
The performance was amazing, and it was fun to see the choreography was still the same as when I was a soldier in the children's cast years ago. (The costumes have changed slightly though, haha.) Having a piece of SLC come to Alaska made me feel a little closer to home this holiday season. 🎄💝

Ice Sculptures, 1/18/16
Thursday, January 21, 2016
Scott had Monday off work for MLK Jr. Day so we went into Anchorage's Townsquare Downtown to see the newly carved ice sculptures. They were pretty cool! We went last year too, and although I think they were more impressive last year, we still had fun! We also did some shopping at the mall and Costco. Fun day!
