Joshua Tree National Park, 1/1/23
On New Year's Day we started the drive back home. We've been wanting to visit Joshua Tree NP, so we made a little detour to visit for a few hours. We were able to do one hike with some nice sunshine, but then it started raining and hailing! We would have liked to maybe spend a bit more time here, but as we still had a big drive ahead of us, we decided to continue on. (We stayed in St. George that night.) I was actually just starting to feel sick while visiting, and then especially that night at the hotel Scott took the girls swimming and I just stayed in the room. Not like me at all, haha. When we got home I took a covid test and it was positive. 👎 Luckily I was the only one that got sick, and the only one to test positive in our family, and thankfully it only lasted a few days.
This park is beautiful, but not quite a top favorite for us. Maybe we didn't spend enough time here, or I just wasn't feeling my best, but I'm still glad we made the visit! Definitely worth it to check it out!
