Glacier Cruise, 8/2/24
Monday, March 30, 2026
The next day (which was also Robyn's 7th birthday! We celebrated with cake a few days later.) we drove with Mike and Kay to Whittier and went on a glacier cruise. It was fun driving through the tunnel, and then we had a gorgeous day on the water. We did the glacier quest cruise with Phillips Cruises & Tours and we saw so many beautiful glaciers and actually quite a bit of wildlife too! It was a fun time! Enjoy these pretty pics!

Tidepooling, 6/23/20
Monday, July 27, 2020
We finished up our Seward trip by going tide-pooling at Lowell Point State Recreation Site. We went early Tuesday morning during low tide and it was so fun! It was a little rainy, but we were prepared with all our rain gear so we had a great time! The girls loved looking for shells, pretty rocks, seaweed, and starfish! ⭐ Enjoy these pics!

~Flashback!~ Seward Cruise, 4/26/14
Friday, March 23, 2018
With Spring on its way I decided to do another flashback post. These pics take us back to a wildlife cruise of Kenai Fjords National Park that we did just before Ruby turned 2. I remember it being a little rainy and cold, but we did see some humpbacks! It's always so exciting to see wildlife! Enjoy the pics!

| This mural is so cool! The business has changed now, but I think the whales are still there. |

Seward Wildlife Cruise, 6/7/17
Monday, June 12, 2017
We left for Seward really early Wednesday morning. We stopped for breakfast at Krispy Kreme, which the girls loved. We made it to Seward about an hour or so before our boat left so we walked around Seward and the harbor for a little bit, and then we boarded the boat. It was the 5 hour cruise around Resurrection Bay. We ended up seeing one humpback whale, sea otters, lots of eagles, sea lions, harbor seals, puffins, and mountain goats pretty close to the shore. It was so fun! Unfortunately it got really rough about half way in and a lot of people got sick, including Ruby. Poor girl. Luckily Scott got her to the back of the boat in time to throw up off the side of the boat, haha. But then the water calmed down again on our way back and we were all good.
After the cruise we checked into our hotel and then walked around Seward and had dinner. It was a very fun day! :)

Homer, 9/3-4/16
Friday, September 23, 2016
It was so fun to have Chrissy come stay with us, and the main reason she came was so that she could watch the girls while Scott and I went on a little getaway to Homer! My work does a halibut fishing trip out of Homer every year and this was the first time we were able to go! We drove down Saturday (the office was closed, yay!) and then the fishing charter was on Sunday. After the full-day charter, we drove all the way home Sunday night and made it back around 11 pm. It was both Scott and mine's first time to Homer. We loved it! It is such a cute little town and I loved walking along and shopping the Spit. We had rainy weather pretty much the whole two days we were there, but it wasn't too bad. I'd love to go back to Homer. Maybe next summer, with the girls! I really wanted to see some starfish at the end of the Spit, but it was high tide while we were there, so we didn't get to. We still had so much fun though! The halibut fishing was a blast! It was a lot of hard work reeling them in! Enjoy the pics! Also, a huge thanks to my work for the fun time, and a especially a huge thanks to Chrissy for watching the girls! I know they had tons of fun with their aunt and I knew they were in good hands. :)
